Exhausted

This morning I gave my husband a lift to work, thinking I'd walk Edward on the way home in the forest just outside Amsterdam. I got completely, hopelessly lost :darn:, there weren't any sign posts anywhere and I got distracted trying to get away from a man with his VERY unfriendly dog...2.5hours later I finally found my way to the car... Edward had a great time, not knowing we were lost. I am so glad to be home!

As someone who often gets hopelessly lost, :hugs: and always remember to keep a cell phone with you.

Also snacks and extra money.

Because it was such a rainy cold morning I didn't see anyone to ask after the man with the horrid dog, I did call my husband to blame him (naturally!), but sadly he couldn't work out where I was on the internet map of the forest... I don't think Edward will need an afternoon walk in the rain though, yai!

Glad you are home safely. Edward is probably thinking, "At last, a sufficiently long walk!" :joker: I'm certain Orka privately wishes I'd get good and lost in the woods. Especially cold rainy day, Newfie heaven.

Glad you are safe and sound. Did you try asking Edward? I'm really not being fascetious. We were lost in the woods when I was a kid, my Dad told my collie to "go home" and she brought us back to the beach were our boat was about 25' from the boat. Hard part was keeping up with her as she headed "home"

some phones have sat nav on them, can completely relate, one evening we went for a walk in an unfamiliar area, ended up paying £15 to get a taxi back to the car.

glad you got back safe and sound, at least you know Edward can scent water so you wouldn't have died of thirst:alc:

Glad to hear it all ended up OK.....I suffer from the same problem, except I have Tessa and when I say "Jeep", she heads for the car. Not Annabelle or Katy though, they are hopeless too. I am the same on horse-back, but horses tend to home or to the trailer.
