Eli's walking

As you can see Eli is making great progress but his ability for distance is limited, we can't walk him outside of the yard. We are considering a wheelchair for him to give him a bit more freedom as he heals and develops more strength. Does any one have a wheelchair for sale for a reasonable price or any ideas or suggestions for more freedom for him? Thankx

have you asked a vet for a rental or loner wheelchair.our Pyr rescue has one that we bought at a thrift store, so far 2 dogs have used it. Maybe the humane society can send you in a good direction to find one

Silly question? Is this a special type of wheel chair for dogs, or is this a human one with a different application? I'm just trying to visualize it. Kim

doggie wheel chairs are alot different, there's a GSD in our area who run with his owner using one. I tried to post a link for ya but aint real good at that yet. They usually are fitted to the dog. Maybe someone else can get the link for ya. They are so cool.

Look under handicappedpets.com. or ebay has them but I keep getting out bid, someone always has more $$ then me! We would be able to walk him outside of the yard, he could run with the other dogs and with his feet touching the ground moving the chair teach him proper paw placement and help keep his back legs from tangling.

I felt so bad for Eli when I saw his video. He really is a trooper and you are so great for trying to help him.
I found this listing on ebay that might have some possibilities for you. It seems reasonably priced, and custom made, if he makes them for a dog Eli's size. Any you can Buy It Now and not worry about getting outbid! Keep us posted on his progress.
