As some of you know, we received Eli a year ago July 15, when we received Eli, he did not walk, we made slings for him to 'carry' him. Since then, he has made remarkable progress, he walks, runs (like a snuffleufagus LOL) can squat to do his business now, instead of laying on his side, we built him a ramp and taught him to use that to access the yard, he now can do the 5 steps up and down to the yard. We bought him a wheelchair because we thought that was his ability level, well we never used it, it sits brand new in the basement. He amazes us constantly, he loves camping and can use the steps into the motorhome also. He "swims" 4 or 5 strokes out and back in to the shallows where he loves to lay, in the water he always wears a life jacket and is on a 20 foot lunge lead. You never know what he will attempt next LOL. He is my velcro newf and I adore him, Hubby and I thank the people involved in us adding this angel to our home. :groovy:
