from a night shift and I see a man walking his Border Collie...

WAAAAIT a minute...

It's a Landseer PUPPY!!!!

So, crazy woman off a night shift that I am, I slam on the brakes, jump out of the truck and yell "can I see your Landseer?"

First off he was scared. Second off, I knew what a Landseer is so he was impressed. Thirdly, who can say no when someone wants to adore your baby?

4 months old, he's about 50lbs and the height of a medium BC. Sloppy kisses and big, clumsy paws all over me. Le sigh...

I told him all about Newf Net and hopefully he'll drop in.

Kodiac, we're waiting...

I've been that man many times! Last year I was sitting in my car with a sick kid outside the community center--while the other was in a class, and saw two newfs lumbering up the sidewalk toward our car. I jumped out and buried myself in their fur almost before I explained to the woman that I'm NOT CRAZY.... turns our I know her breeder, groomer, and a couple of her friends.

Sleep well!

What a fun encounter! He'll get used to all kinds running up and engaging, asking lots of questions.

Oh Tug, kisses and paws, what a dose!

He'll get lots more that's for sure. Hope he drops by so we all can see. Thunder and I ran into someone at the river, no Newf but very interested and has a big Lab with lots of Newf similar problems- ACL, thyroid etc. Told him he ought to join too. Hope he does. Took pic of Thunder for his wife to see.

:icon_bb: Way to go girl! I think nothing makes you happier, than when someone you don't know wants to adore your four legged friends.

.........It is kinda scary when you are on the other side :), But it does seem to be a thing newfy lovers do.

Strangely enough, I get excited when I see another Newf, but most of the newf owners I meet don't. Dunno what the deal is...they usually seem eager to get away. I don't think I am scary! :D Perhaps they are just tired of constantly being stopped by strangers because of their newf?
