Does this happen to anyone else?

I have to wash my dog items...blankets, towels, etc. separately from the rest of my clothes because little knots of Newfie hair stick in my towels, sheets, and so on. Otherwise I am pulling these little hair knots out of sheets when my guests come. I thought maybe it was the cheap sheets I bought, but it also happens with other stuff. I have a guest coming soon, and I bought black/dark bedding so the hair will at least not stand out.

So I am curious...does this only happen to me?

I send all my doggie wash item to the laundry service in town. Of course I have the kennel and lots of blankets to wash. I just add my dog's to the pile.

I have this on what I imagine is a smaller scale with finding knots of my own hair on things. So I'm sure when Suki gets older (she's only 4 1/2 months now) we'll have newf knots too.

I get the little Newf hair knots too. The same thing happens when I wash the cats' blanket...little cat hair knots in the lint catcher in the dryer and on the blanket itself :) I imagine it's fairly common.

Yep, happens all the time - dog and cat hair.

Generally I just give the sheets/blankets/towels etc a quick brush with a fabric brush before folding them and putting them away.

I have separate washing machines - still get them.
The front load was terrible for dog stuff..so have a top load for that.

Uummmmm ... since any guest here will promptly have a whole Newf on them, we don't even think about or notice Newf hair knot balls.

The macro rules and overwhelms consideration of the micro.

Newf hair balls are everywhere LOL I washed sheets/bedding for OUR bed over the weekend and had to pick off hair balls from the clean dry sheets :)

WHAT!!!!!! everyone doesn't have Newf balls on their underwear and towels? No wonder my kids complain. They get totally grossed out that I put the dog dishes in the dishwasher...separate from people dishes...most of the time:devil:

LOL, yep, but I don't wash separately. Doesn't matter how we do it, they're on everything. They stick to fleece the worst, I think.

Can't say I have noticed except on things that are Snuffles. One thing I learned a while back ago when I did some laundry for our local zoo, was run it in the dryer a bit with just air. The tumbling seem to get a lot off befoe it goes in the wash.

Hmmm....Never thought of doing that. I will try it and see if there is a difference.

I separate my laundry into three loads...clothing including undergarments, towels and dish towels and the like, and sheets and other bedding.
Since it's just me I don't do tons of laundry. The towels always have little fur balls on them. The clothes are not so bad. I usually just give them a quick going over with a sticky roller to remove any residual hair.

My daughter and I both have long hair, I have a long haired cat in addition to two short-haired cats, and Maggie.

I've given up on ever wearing anything without hair on it. Sometimes it's easier to accept defeat and move on. I have those darn hair balls everywhere.

However, those balls of hair look just like spiders in your bed if you're blind as a bat and have just removed your contacts and can't find your glasses. I'm just sayin'. :shocker:
