Close Call, Not Even Safe in Your Own Yard

What a terrible scare for Miley and you. Drunk drivers are dangerous!!!! We had one in our neighborhood, drive up someone's driveway ( thinking it was a road) and drove through the house into their family room:(

Unbelievable!!! I am so relieved that Miley is OK. I was nearly in tears until you said out of the darkness she ran to you. I can't imagine...so scary!

Thanks everyone! We discussed, in jest, putting an in-ground pool on that side of the house, so if this happens again, at least they can't get far, they'd fall in the pool.

The guy was taken in handcuffs so hopefully he learned his lesson.

The dogs are not happy with not being able to exercise off leash but Progressive was here yesterday, and I got a quote to repair the fence already so hopefully the fence will go up fast and easy.

Now I think I'll be scared to let them go out there though. We have to think of something to put out or do so that drivers can't drive onto the property.

You could put up those cement road dividers, in front of the fence. That would slow someone down, before they got into the dog run again. Or plant fast growing trees. Or, building on that pool idea...how about a moat?

What an experience! When I first read it, I thought it was a "smash and grab" and that they had gotten your dogs. That would have been my worst nightmare. The rest is fixable.
