Challenge #103 " A Sense of Pride"

With some help, I decided the challenge to be: “A Sense of Pride”

PRIDE:
1. A sense of one's own proper dignity or value; self-respect.
2. Pleasure or satisfaction taken in an achievement, possession, or association: parental pride.

What does “Pride” mean to you? Is it something you are proud of, an object that represents the meaning to you, community, family, friends or your country? Whatever you feel represents “Pride”. Have fun and enjoy!
Here’s an example of what I am proud of!

My daughter and son on his graduation day from high school - they're so close to each other, and with hubby and myself that I just wanna burst when I see this picture.

My daughter's mugshot from reception at Ft. Jackson, SC. She left Sept. 25th for boot camp (Army Reserves) and "snuck" this picture on her phone to her boyfriend.

Hi All...it's a tough one. I thank you for all your entries. I truly can feel everyone's pride in each and every photo. I will make my choice by noon today. I will be away from my computer the rest of the day and want to make my choice before then.

Good ol' Hamish, looking pretty majestic.

My friend's dad, from our Merck Forest trip. I'd say he's pretty dang proud of that fire. :D

Thank you so much for your posts. Like I said earlier, I know all the photos represent a "Sense of Pride" to all of you. I appreciate the chance to choose from such great photos.
Three of your photos moved me very much. I have always been awed by the "fly by" of the military with the fallen soldier aircraft vering off. Family is also something to be very proud of and working with our "fur kids" means a lot to me.

So....with that, here are my choices:
FIRST PLACE: Jane's second photo of the Fighter Jets
SECOND PLACE: Lola's picture of Your Father giving you away on your Wedding Day.
THIRD PLACE: Ted's first photo of Patty and Nash.
Good job Everyone!!
