Boogie

Today I went with my niece to the vet. We had to take Boogie, her springer spaniel, he would have turned 1yo this month.

Boogie got a fungal infection in his intestines and had to have most of the intestines removed. He was treated for the infection, but it just kept coming back and getting bigger than the last time. He had stopped eating and was whining and crying in misery so we knew it was time.

Although I was just Boogie's aunt, it hurt me badly. So young and once full of life. He will be sadly missed. May Boogie's stay at the Bridge be comforting and may he know how well loved he was. :(

AWWWW! Poor little Boogie.

It is SOOOO hard to "lose" a dog, at any age.

The Rainbow Bridge is a wonderful place...just happy times....all the time.

Oh Shawn,
I too am so very sorry for your loss. It takes a loving, caring owner ( and Aunt) to make that final decision. I know how painful it is. You and your niece are in my thoughts and prayers.

Oh the poor baby. :( How so very sad for you and your family - esp your neice. Saying good bye is so hard and setting them free of pain is heart breaking. I wish I could give Boogie a big hug and tell him he was a good boy no matter how short his life was

Hi Shawn,
So sorry to hear of your loss. Please tell your niece that I send my sympathy to her as well. Boogie is playing happily with no pain at the bridge with my Oji and many other animal friends.

Yes Amy,
Boogie was Summer's dog and she is as tender hearted and crazy about her dogs as I am. My heart hurt so bad for her.

She swears she will NEVER have another (she has a dog and cat at home now). Says the pain of losing them is too much for her. I reminded her that the love you get more than makes up for that hurt.

I can't even imagine my life without any of mine...especially the king of rotten-ness....Newman :(

Such a sad story for Boogie and Summer. What a shame their was nothing that could have been done for him. I'm sure Summer will have other animals in her life as time goes on, but now it must seem overwhelming.
