Best gift I ever gave myself.....

Today is my birthday and I am reminded yet again how glad I am that we finally took the plunge, drove to Idaho and picked up my dream puppy. (The first 8 months were far from dreamy, terrifying yes, dreamy, not so much) But now every time I look at her I am filled with such a deep love and joy - I still can't put into words how enchanting this breed is.....but I suppose I am preaching to the choir. Kinda weird post, but just thought I'd share.

Thanks everyone! We actually got Tink closer to Mother's Day and I think of her as a Mother's Day present.... But anytime it is a "presents" holiday I realize I already have the best gift ever. Fun to share my obsession with fellow newfie lovers. My neighbors two doors down have two beautiful newfs and I gawk at them each time they walk by and have noticed them gawking when we walk by too - which just tickles me.:kgo_027:

My first Newf was a birthday present. My husband had a Lab puppy reserved for me, and it was accidentally sold out from under me, so when hubby went out of town I found Newf puppies and the kids and I went and bought one. Best thing I ever did, next to marrying him, of course!
