Very cute baby shower invitation....when the showers start happening, you know you are getting close!!!! Baby showers are so much more fun than wedding showers; It is so hard to get excited over a set of pots and pans but so fun to ohhh and ahhh over cute baby outfits!!!!

Thanks! I can't take any credit for the invite - my mother in law and my aunt in law created them! They are super cute though!

As for being a total slacker - I KNOW. But most of the stuff I'm experiencing now is repeat crapola from the first trimester...not so much *funny* as whiny/pathetic. For example, who wants to read about how the last time I tried to groom Nanook, and I was bent over his back brushing out his feathers, I totally refluxed lunch into my mouth? Ugh! Or about how every morning my poor husband has to massage my tush before leaving for the gym, because my right hip is a knot of agony by morning? (Okay that's a little funny, but only if you aren't Sandy.)

I'm also trying to finish the posts from Mexico but honestly, I don't remember so much. There was a lot of sleeping and eating.

Still, I've got a few I've got to cover - like what we're bringing to the hospital in our labor and delivery bags, or the great Circumcision debate of 2011, and I suppose I could write about the Gala we went to last weekend where San and I were seated right in front of the band speakers, the band was FREAKISHLY loud, and Rhys went totally wild every time the drum set kicked up until finally I went and sat out in the cocktail tent just so the inside of my uterus wouldn't be black and blue by midnight. Then Sandy's car broke down while the valet was fetching it for us, and we had to take a cab home. :D

I'll get there eventually, I promise!

Argh, the hip pain from side-sleeping...thanks for reminding me! Fingers crossed you don't get the Carpal Tunnel. Makes brushing your teeth super-duper fun ;) Seriously, before you know it, you'll have crossed the finish line, I promise. And coming from someone only (exactly) 8 months out of it, much of it really is starting to become a distant memory, if that's of any comfort to you :)

Also, very cute invite!

Hollandaise

And if you want fancy for your veggies or Eggs Benedict the easiest Hollandaise ever

1 stick butter- break it up into tabls sizes.
2 eggs yolks- broken
2 tsps fresh lemon juice
little salt & white pepper (use black if you don't have white)

Put all this in the top of a double boiler, stir it around a little bit and leave for 30 minutes. then place top of double boiler over simmering water and stir with a WOODEN spoon until cooked and thickened. Remove from heat immediately. You can add a little more lemon juice in the next version if you like more "punch". the trick to is to be sure to use a wooden spoon, otherwise the metal is likely to react with the acid of the lemon and curdle the butter. Yummy with asparagus or broccoli as well as eggs benedict.

Vanessa- Riggs heard I was going to NJ without him and he took your invite over to his bed to hide it from me- I had to pry it from his mouth. He got a few blue sparkles on his nose from your eggs. He said it would've tasted much better with Emmie Lou's Hollondaise sauce.

EEk, not sure how Hollandaise got posted in Nessa's thread. Sorry, Angela or Jeannie can you move it. Must have been a senior moment.
