Hi everyone...I have felt so embarrassed that I have not posted on Newf Net....didn't know how to get back "into the fold" until Megan emailed me. I have missed everyone so much...health, mentally and physically has not been good to me this year.
On to good news...we met with the surgeon that we want to do Marcus's LP surgery with. He came very highly recommended and when he examined Marcus in May felt he did not need a tie-back at this point. He did recommend we get Marcus neutered since he would not want him to go through additional surgery after the tie-back.
We made the decision to have Marcus neutered with Dr. Glennon...even though he only does specialized surgery and has not done a castration in years. Of course Marcus can't do it easy...because of his "pendulous, heavy "balls" he needed a scrotum ablation. He healed beautifully...never needed a e collar.
At the same time, Dr Glennon scoped his throat for LP and there was no change from a year ago...one side was paralyzed but the other side worked perfectly. Amazing...a surgeon who said "wait...he will need the surgery but not now"
We are training Max for his WRD this summer...he jumped off the boat last week so I think we have a chance. Marcus is doing well...he does his WD exercises in less than 40 seconds so we are thinking we might have a chance with our boy to try for his WD...nobody ever told him he was sick!
Max requalified in the NCNE Winter test with a tobaggon in 30" of snow...so he now has a DD1.
Missed all of you...happy to be back in the loop!
