Angus' First Trials

are at the end of August. Wish us luck!

I filled out his entries today for Novice Obedience and Rally Novice...and I was tearing up! We've been working toward this for quite some time, all balanced around my stupid travel schedule. There are 4 shows over two weekends in August, so if we're real lucky we could finish all the legs. We've never trialed before, so I'm not putting too much pressure on him (us!) but it sure would be nice! He's such a good boy and works so very hard for me...I love him so!

Advice is welcome!

Just remember to breath Sheila! It sounds so simple but nerves really do take over sometimes. You both will do great. Good luck to you!!!!

I'm so proud of my boy! We just started training at a new club and Angus barely reacted to the new surroundings. We did a short warm up, and then a complete Novice Obedience run-through. We scored a 185 for our fake trial! Angus was lagging a bit and sat a bit crooked and I gave a second command....dummy. I feel more confident now about the end of the month!

And our trainer was impressed with Angus, too. "He's no Sheltie, but you got a good workin' dog there."
