3 newfies need a home - PIX ADDED

I just received a phone call from a woman in Millstone, NJ. She has 3 Newfoundlands. 1 male - 4 yr old - black........1 female - 4 yr old - black.........1 female 5 yr old bronze. All are Neutered. I am told that they are up to date on all their vacc's and were last at the vet in March/April of this year.

Unfortunately, this woman is on the verge of divorce over these beautiful Newfies. The wife lost her job, and then the husband lost his job and has now developed a breathing disorder which becomes aggravated by the dogs. If I can't find a home for them, either together, or seperately, she will be forced to bring them to a local shelter! OH GOD PLEASE LET ME FIND A HOME FOR THEM!!!

I would take them myself, but I just rescued a 3 1/2 yr old male from a woman with COPD this past July. I have 3 myself and I know my limits.....unfortunately.

Please, there's got to be someone out there who wants this trio. The woman will be sending me photos of them, so once I receive them, I will attach them to this thread. So check back often.

Thank you all. Diane at NewPenDel and Lisa at Colonial Newfs are the first 2 people I contacted. I haven't heard back from them yet and am trying to cover all the bases before time runs out on this trio!! My prayers are with them.

Any breeder information on these guys instead of going to rescue? They look sweet. What a shame for her to have to give them up.

My hand is up for the bronze girl.....Sophie and Hannah say they will be glad to step in and be her new sisters!
But, I agree, I would try to find out if they can be returned to the breeder first, if that is an option for her....
Sad situation...they all look like love bugs...

Oh Lord, they're all so cute!
Please tell her to think about rescue. The shelter is no alternative. They'll end up in the wrong hands and who KNOWS what happens from there. An uneducated adopter is a very dangerous thing for a newf. Very dangerous.
Fingers crossed that rescue can help

Me too Debra.. I thought it was the 3 that are being given up.

Yes.. Rescue has to get them before a shelter !!!!!!!

To Tina re: 3 Newfies needing homes

Hi, my name is Linda and I have one Newfie who is 5 and she is a wonderful gal. I also have one flat-coated retriever male. I just lost my other Flat-coated retriever to cancer. I am interested in adopting one of these three dogs but I could not take all 3. Logisically it would be difficult because I live in Seattle, WA but I imagine something could be worked out. I love the look of the bronze girl. Let me know if you would like to talk seriously about them and I can give you a call.

You are a great person to be doing this.

I know the black female is taken, and a family is going to look at the male (most likely) this coming weekend. So that leaves only the brown female, IF the family takes the male. I know they like his look and his personality from what his owner told them.
