  • It's Halloween... blame the candy / sugar rush. I don't even want to admit how much candy I've consumed in the last couple of days! I bought way too much. Last year we almost ran out so I bought like 8 bags this year. It's just after 8 pm now and I think the trick or treators are done... I'm left with about 5 full bags. UGH! I'm going to make myself so ill!
LOL!!! She wanted to be a princess...oh well, what can you do?..hehe..a princess she is..
Hey how are you all? any plans for Halloween?
    XOXO
We got in just fine! It was great meeting you and feel free to stay here if you are out this way. Thanks for your hospitality!
Abbey, just back from a vacation up the big sur coast in Ca. We had a great time. We have a case of red coming to the house in a bit. Life is good!
Charlie is a tall boy, he is almost 33 at the shoulder last time I measured the vet (who owns newfs and is active in the local newf community) says he should be about 150 lbs when he is full grown and filled out, somewhere in the neighbourhood of 130-135 lbs right now, which is fine because we are still slowly re-gaining weight after he got really sick. He was down to 106 when he was sick in the summer. We have just been feeding him 2-3 cups of food whenever he is hungry (usually 2x a day, but sometimes 3x a day when we have been really active), and he has been slowly but steadily gaining.
Charlie is doing really well, he is totally recovered from the poisoning, and is back at a more healthy 135 lbs, still should get some more weight on him (you can still feel his vertebrae) but it it much better. The shedding stopped now too, so I am back to my regular cleaning routine. How are your guys going? Happy Thanksgiving to you too.
Thank you Abbey. I still new to the forum thing, if I do something wrong please let me know.
Sailor says, "thanks". I say you can have him! He stole a whole bag of Halls cough drops and ate them the day after he stole the french bread! I know he loves cough drops, eats them wrapper and all. Thought I had them well out of his reach! :)
Wow< I have to get some better pics of my dogs. I really enjoyed your Albums and tankyou for your help
Thanks for you kind words about Gigi and JJ's albums.. Still working on getting the rest of the crews pics into albums.
Thank you! I don't know why so many people on here have to try and ruin someone else's accomplishments. Not that it was bothering me anyway but I've had sooo many PM's, visitor messages, and buddy requests from all the bruhaha, I think it backfired on them. My reason for showing Beau's take from just one weekend is because Newfs are considered a rare breed in the UKC and I would love for several of the Newfs to start showing there. It is sooo much more fun, family oriented, informative, and did I mention FUN? Just a really nice nice group of people who accepted us with open arms. I was helping hold dogs and giving lessons on free baiting on the side lines after people watched us in the ring. I got an email from one of the ladies I had helped and she said she fell so in love with Beau she wanted to know if he could come live with her. I told her there was a very long line in front of her and they'd all have to get past me first. LOL Shoot if I'd wanted to brag like Christine said, I would have informed her that after just one weekend Beau is now the #1 Newf in both breed and multi-breed in the UKC. DID I MENTION HOW MUCH FUN WE HAD? LOL
