Wii games

So my parents got my kids a Wii for Christmas.

Absolutely one of the best ideas in video games in a very, very, long time.

You cannot simply sit on the couch and push buttons with your thumbs. When bowling, you must make the arm motion as if you were bowling. In baseball, you must make a pitching motion or batting motion.

We had some on the in-laws over and though my wife is the youngest of her family, everyone was having a blast and wanting to play, even my MIL !

To top it off, I've gotten 4 or 5 new games for the Wii off of Ebay, at about half the price it would cost me to buy retail. Ebay is great !!!!!!

Anyone ese try the Wii?

My husband has been playing for 2 hours straight now....good thing the kids are in school, he tends to yell at Mario when he fails.

I agree, it's great. was "bowling" with my grandkids last night. The other great "game" was the dance, dance revolution...fwell I thought it was great! Wish I had one...good exercise.

Great great fun. We have had ours since not long after they first came out, lots of fun for those of all ages. My mother actually went out and purchased one for herself after coming to our house and playing some bowling and tennis.

My friend got one from her brother for Christmas. She said she sweats more doing boxing on Wii then when she goes to the gym...I need one of those!

Everyone loves those Wii's....I agree they're good indoor entertainment....

But when my hubby tried to justify buying one for his son by saying "They're good exercise; he gets to bowl...play tennis (etc)..." I said, "How about he go out and REALLY get exercise? Bowl, play tennis, etc. Hey! He could ride his bike! Rollerblade! Play with all the sports equipment we got him!" (This kid has 4 other game systems, btw).

This was the same excuse my daughter tried pulling on me about not hanging out with her friends, because she was talking with 'friends' in a chat room. I said, "How about some REAL friends in the REAL world??"

Before you blast me, this is being said tongue in cheek! :neener:

lifting the drink to your face and throwing the ball, yeah, i would consider that excersise! ROTFL!!!
I am a big fan of the 12oz curls. I am currently working my way up to using both arms at the same time (lessening the weight with each rep of course I wouldnt want to tear a rotator cuff or anything).
