What size generator?

I am getting ready to purchase a generator to take to shows. I was wondering what others who have one think about the brand they purchased. I am only looking to run a fan or my Metro 7.5 amp/120 volt portable dryer with it. I did the calculations for the dryer and it appears it needs 900 watts to run. I would appreciate your thoughts.

I would go to Home Depot/Lowes/Menards or whom ever is in your area and talk to them about generators and ratings.
