Water Workshop

Well, tomorrow's the big day, we have our water workshop. Thanks to Heather and Dan I'm now the proud owner of a wetsuit and water shoes. I think I'll have to get there an hour early to get all this stuff on. I'm definately going to have to get a bigger car. I'm not sure how I'm going to fit my chair, cooler, bumpers, life jacket, boat cushions, dog ramp, wetsuit, water shoes, dog treats, water for the dog and the dog in my car.
Murphy's a little over a year, and this will be his first time in the water. I'm hoping he's going to get IN the water! Ecspecially since I just bought a house by the lake! I plan on taking it slow, and just making tomorrow fun for him. I'm hoping once he sees his friends in the water, he'll follow them in. Suggestions??
I know Ted's going to have his camera, and if there's one picture of me in my wetsuit, unless I'm up to my neck in water, someone's going to be in BIG trouble!!

I am *so* bummed. I told John M. that I would be there as a spectator this year, and I can't make it, my husband is out of town. It was going to be a 'just for me' day-NO DOGS. :( I hope you have a great time! Re:the wetsuit dilemma (I hear ya on that score, lol)- I'm pretty sure Ted wouldn't want his camera 'accidentally' falling in the water! ;)

Don't worry Dan will have our camera in case Ted misses anything. I'll be sure to tell him just dog pictures! I love our camera and don't want any accidents!! See you in a little bit. Morgan got excited when I was packing her life jacket. She must know somethings going on.
Lets just hope the weather gets nicer? What happened to the warmth a few days ago.

Janet, your accumulating gear description cracked me up, then 'need a bigger car,' then the kicker 'just bought a house by the lake!'

They don't warn you what a Newf will do to you! Gotta add these to the "What does a Newf cost?" thread :D

[ she types after spending more than $3000 in Newf gear in one week ]

Have a great time water training!

Ted, thank you SO much for posting the video. Mark O'C and Panda did a fantastic job. Looked/sounded to me like Tigger wanted to get in on the action, lol!

Janet,

Murphy did great and so did you. He is a natural and seem to be having a blast. In fact all the dogs at the workshop did very well and I think we will have some new WD's by the end of the season. Faith blew me away when she towed the boat in to shore. And believe me when I say I understand the car thing. Last year I bought a Town and Country van just so I have room to cart around all the dog stuff. The dogs fit find in the car but all the extras did not fit. Have not thought about a house on a lake as my sister has a great pool in her back yard that Bristles and Faith love. Glad you enjoyed yourself. Hope to see you at practices.

Thank you. I enjoy doing it, and I checked my flickr account and can't believe all of the photos on it 6280 photos 97% are about Newfs!
