Update to needing help with baby and newf

Hi guys,
I just wanted to pop back on and update. I was never able to find someone willing to come to where I live, but I got some good help from a few people through email. Charlie and Sawyer have come a long way in their relationship.

Sawyer is learning to be gentle with his pets, and has "helped" groom Charlie a few times, and since he is a big food dropper, Charlie is happy to be around him. Sawyer has even offered to share his cookies with Charlie, and though at first I was deterring it, the odd time that I let Charlie take one he is extremely gentle.

Charlie still gives "warning growls" when Sawyer gets too rough, or when he has had enough of him, but nothing menacing, just more to get our attention I think.

We are happy with the place they are in right now, and though I don't think the work will ever be "done" in their relationship, and I will never be comfortable in leaving them unsupervised for any length of time, I don't worry constantly about them being together.

I just thought that someone might be curious about what was happening!

Glad things are working better. I still get "warning growls" from Snuffles on things I do occassionally, but he has never snapped or bit. The worst he has done is just grab my arm with his mouth like grooming. Hope Charlie is is just being vocal.

Great newf(s)...I think dogs that growl are the good dogs....Dogs that snap without growling are the problem........I am glad you got help and all is improved :)
