Sabrina, the little 6 1/2 lb kitty who ruled our Newfs with velvet paw for 14 yrs has left us. We had her put down yesterday after determining the cancerous tumor recently removed from her neck was back with a vengeance. I can't believe how much my heart is aching for that little girl who slept on my head, sat on my keyboard, snuggled under the covers and terrified my Newfs from Angus to Traveler (but she was wary of the chickens). She had a coat like mink and was the sweetest, most affectionate cat I've ever known. She was a dog in cat's clothing. When we came home she would come running from wherever she was to greet us or sit in front of the door, waiting for her family. Or if the dogs were out she would perch on the end logs of our cabin, out of harm's way but taunting Traveler! I miss her so much.
