The bird

so, last night at about 10:30 in the evening I am getting the kids things ready for daycare for this morning when something flew out of my pantry at me. after I had my heart attack and realized what it was, I called for my hubby to come help me. A bird got in our house. so, here I am on crutches, my hubby grabs a broom and I have two little ones freakin out in the back ground. every time we got the bird down off our high ceilings, Riki would try to get it, which sent it right back up to the ceiling. Now, mind you, we are realizing that this bird is injured on the top of it's head and is ceiling surfing for a place to land cuz there is a crazed newf on the ground and two idiots with crutches and a broom. so, this little teenie tiny bird, kind of a swallow type, is smearing blood aaaaaaalll over my ceiling. I don't know if Riki got it or if it did that trying to get out. Riki almost had an evening snack a few times, Ewwwwww!
after about 1/2 an hour we managed to get a towel over it and got it out the door...now the fun part, painting over the blood which is everywhere. it looks like a sinister crime happened in my house all at ceiling level... that is my story and I am sticking to it!:devil:

:lol: That would have been a sight to see. I would say I would have liked to have been a fly on the wall, but I think that would've probably been a very dangerous place to be. :D

Swallows Anon..is being notified ASAP..and..if they ever go extinct..in your part of the world..they can remove the new paint..and use that ..Prime DNA!! ;) Glad you are all able to rest and regroup now, hugs, ina n HB n Kesa
