After researching for the past two months we've chosen a breeder and put a deposit down for a newfie puppy! We are so pleased with her and her willingness to educate us and spend lots of time helping us find the right Newf for us. Now we are beginning the process of making purchases to be ready for our new pup. Having had Shar Pei we need a bigger crate. 
We've already gotten the schedules for the upcoming spring puppy and beginning obedience classes at our local training club and talked with our vet to let her know we have a new family member on the way. It's been 12 years since we've had a puppy so we're brushing up on all of our reading.
I wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to all of the sticky threads here - they have been immensely helpful as we learned more about the breed and then interviewed breeders. We can't wait!
