After researching for the past two months we've chosen a breeder and put a deposit down for a newfie puppy! We are so pleased with her and her willingness to educate us and spend lots of time helping us find the right Newf for us. Now we are beginning the process of making purchases to be ready for our new pup. Having had Shar Pei we need a bigger crate. :D We've already gotten the schedules for the upcoming spring puppy and beginning obedience classes at our local training club and talked with our vet to let her know we have a new family member on the way. It's been 12 years since we've had a puppy so we're brushing up on all of our reading.

I wanted to thank everyone who has contributed to all of the sticky threads here - they have been immensely helpful as we learned more about the breed and then interviewed breeders. We can't wait!

Congrats!! Can't wait to see pictures. If you've read enough on here you know puppy belly photos are a requirement.

Ut Um...
YES...they are Jen! Stop telling fibs :p Personally, I think we should have one thread with pictures of all the puppy belly's we can find....then maybe do a puppy paw thread, oh yeah, and can't forget my favorites....those precious little noses! Oh Heaven!!

Yay! :allg069:
That's so exciting. I can't wait to see pictures of your little puppy. I did a lot of reading while waiting to get Molly. I must have read about 3 books Newfoundland related. It helped quite a bit. Will you be getting photos of the puppys before they're ready to come home? Our breeder gave us weekly photos it was amazing to see them grow. It was a 2hour and 45minute drive to go see them so, during the 8 week wait we only got to visit her twice.
