We took Sully to Purdue U yesterday, and his radiograph showed he has healed wonderfully. The bone has filled in the area of his tibial tuberosity advancement site (cutting of the bone) was performed. The implant showed no signs of breakage or infection.

Tuesday he went in for a grooming, and he has had others since the surgery, but the groomer found a staple they missed. I told them that our Vet took out the staples instead of going back to Purdue for this, and he missed one. It showed up in the radiograph, and they got it out.

Their report did say the right stifle did have some joint swelling but no cranial drawer or tibial thrust indicative of cruciate disease was noted. So we will be watching him for his other rear leg now. I guess that is not uncommon.

We are thrilled he has healed so well!!!!!

Good news....and cross my fingers....knock on wood, throw salt over my shoulder, that Sully is one of the few that doesn't have a second knee problem!

Great news!!!! How many weeks now?? Did he have TTA or TPLO? Just curious because you mentioned tibial tuberosity advancement bone cutting which is (TTA).
Bruce is just 3 weeks post op from TTA and gets his first post op exrays in 2 weeks on may 10th. Can't wait to see how everything is. I know what you mean about worrying about the other leg. I watch Bruce constantly on our walks and his other leg looks like it is turning in..which scares me and he seems to walk so slow. :( I guess we will find out if it is ok when he's in for his visit.
