Suki's Sunday Afternoon

We have crazy springlike weather and actually ate dinner outside last night. The kids and Suki were being so cute I grabbed my camera.

I love this photo! You might think it should go in the How Much You Love Your Dog thread because Suki is better brushed than my daughter. But my daughter HATES having her hair brushed more than any dog I know!!! So it's more a matter of, I love my daughter so much that I let her go around with millions of tangles in her hair. :)

I think Suki has such as sweet face. Am I the only one who thinks there is more variety in the looks of Newfs than in many other dog breeds? I know GSDs' and Great Danes' looks vary, but with Newf it just does more. Maybe it's those expressive eyes or that Newfs let us look into their souls.

I'm not a fan of the neckerchief; but my kids love them, so when the groomer puts them on, I leave them until they get dirty or fall off.

Thanks for looking!

That second picture is very special...I love the way they are both smiling :)

Special girls......

I also agree that newfies are very expressive....I can almost always tell ahead of time the mood of mine, especially Annabelle and Katy

Love your photos! That second picture is especially a keeper. You DO have a very beautiful and expressive-looking Newf. And a lovely daughter - whether she wants to brush her hair or not (and BOY will that change in a couple years!)

Your daughter is so cute. I bet those two keep you very busy. Thanks for the lovely photos. Life is passing me by without getting any photos...I will be sorry one day.

The top one could be an exact mirror of my Gilly with my niece - she's a tangle-haired girl too, it reflects her adventurous wild personality :) I love the photos.

Thank you all!

Terri, I am sure I will miss the tangled hair days when she hits the hair is more important than breakfast stage! I'm not ready for that time yet.

And Stacy, I know what you mean about being sorry you didn't take more pictures. I go for long periods where I don't take pictures, then I leave my camera out so I will use it, and I still don't take pictures. Then I do take pictures I I'm displeased with all of them. But then sometimes, when the light is just right, I get some that I like. I'm a frustrated wannabe photographer. lol. But I think if I took more pictures, I'd get better!!

Oh Karen, we have had such nice weather here in Colorado! But I'm ready for more snow! We got a new fireplace last fall and I want to use it more!!!!

HUGS!

Suki is turning into quite the fine-looking young Newf lady! You ought to share more pics of her, and you take such good ones too! Also, your little girl slays me. I have such a nasty case of Iwantagirlitis, and these pictures certainly aren't helping in the matter  She's just lovely. (I also had stringy, tangled hair growing up. Some girls just don't want their hair fooled with :D )

Beautiful Pictures. I was one of those girls that did not like my mother brushing my hair. Something happened later in school - everyone wanted to brush my hair - and it was ok. Girls...

Great pictures. Also (Sharon noticed this) dogs that have the kerchiefs on get more pets in public. Somehow it makes people more comfortable.

I love the photos!!! At least your daughter wears dresses...I can't get my grand-daughters to wear one. Her hair reminds me of mine when I was that little.

Kristin, you were asking for more pictures of my girls right??? lol Well here's one more of each of them.

I have heard from other moms that boys are easier. And I know I'm still early in the game, but I have to agree. My 11 year old is a roller coaster ride of mood swings. She is still her sweet and kind self, until that little switch flips and bam, I can't do anything right! This is my 11 year old.

And taking pictures of my son always turn out like this with a very silly face (or they are of the back of his head as he runs away ....)

Thanks for letting me share. I love gushing about my kids as much as I do about Suki! lol.
