Here's the boy in the underwater treadmill. He did great. And he really seemed to like it after the first couple of minutes.

That's really amazing. I'm glad he's on the road to recovery, altho I suspect you wouldn't have allowed him take any detours.
This is so great to see - and he actually looks like he's smiling, too!

I hope Stoli is in tip top shape in no time!

Question: Does the water rise after the dog is in there or was he lowered into a filled tank?

I have had Dex in underwater treadmill therapy for over a year now. Stoli's tank looks just like the one used for Dex.

Dex just walks into an empty tank, close door and fill the tank to desired level. He stays in his tank for 20 minutes at 1.5 mph.

It is wonderful therapy. He has improved so much. I highly recommend it for many ailments. In Dex's case, he has arthritis.

Go, Stoli, Go!!!!!!

Yes Sue, it's empty when he gets in. It kinda freaked him out when it started to fill because the water comes up from the bottom and it's silent. But then he thought it was cool. Here's a picture of my husband getting him in it.

He's also getting chiro and e-stim with some massage too. Our goal is to have him in the current pool after about 3-4 weeks. That one is cool.

Here's the link to the facility. It's in Chicago.

Oh okay. That had come up at a club board meeting and it was said that the water should be filled after the dog is in.

We had a rescue that required some therapy and apparently, the place the foster took this dog, he was lowered into the water. It was said by some very knowledgable board members that this was the wrong way to do this. The water should have been raised after the dog was in the tank.

With this tank, the door is on the back, you couldn't fill it with water before the dog is in. You can see the white framing of the door by Stoli's butt in the second picture.

Now the current pool has a ramp in it that they have to walk into but we're not there yet. That's got about a zillion gallons of water and there wouldn't be a way to fill it for each dog.

I can't imagine lowering a newf into anything
. Mini-crane?

That's awsome that you have a facility like that close by. I guess there are some advantages to being in the "Big City".
Stoli will be back to his old self in no time.
