Every month, we have a Team Meeting where one of us gets to host the meeting, and after the formalities, we get to talk about the subject of our choice. I need some interesting little tidbits about Newfies to share at the meeting this month. I also plan on showing the videos from the '07 NCNC Water Test where Belle passed the WRD test. Thanks

1. Do they stay in the house?
2. Who much do they eat?
3. Got a saddle for that horse?
4. How much do they weight?
5. Who is walking who?
6. Do they shed?
7. Do they slobber?

How about famous people who have had Newfies?
A History of the Breed?

That would give you some interesting things to discuss.

I would talk about their history, the breed's temperament and abilities, and what we do with our Newfs today. You could tie that into the teamwork aspect of training for certain events or for therapy/service work.

Newfs as Working/Rescue Dogs on Fishing Boats, How the Newfs Helped get the Catch to market, Newfs performing their historic job as Water Rescue Dogs.....yada....yada....

newfs used to pull cartloads of goods into London City ,UK. They went to the horse due to noise, poop and illtreatment of some of the cart dogs. Also used to pull in nets and firewood
