Lori, he tore his ACL and had surgery to repair his knee.

Truman, I have no idea how long before the hair grows in. I know HE hopes it's soon. And the collar is an inflatable. It's so much better than the E-collar. He has no peripheral vision when he has that one so he bangs into everything and tends to walk backwards. This one is great. They sell them at Petco and Petsmart. I think it was $23 or $29. I also have a bite-not collar but that's really restricting for him. This one moves with him so it's our best bet right now.

I had a Shar-pei that had ACL surgery, and her leg was wrapped for 4-6 weeks. The surgery was completely successful, never had a problem, hope that Stoli heals quickly. That's a very interesting collar.
