You know the feeling when you leave your house in yesterday's clothes with no shower, and your hair uncombed and then run into THAT friend who looks like she is on her way to have her picture taken? 😝

Yeah, that was Sam and I at the dog park last week. We saw the most gorgeously groomed brown newfie girl. Coat like a big plush teddy bear, just the right length, still had that poofy look from blow drying. Soft and very shiny. It was the nicest groom job I've ever seen, even including show dog newfs. Meanwhile, Sam smelled awful, has bits of undercoat coming out all over from blowing his coat, longish ears, goofy floof, and of course drool. Um, yeah. 🙈

Oh well, Sam got to swim while we were there, and her dog didn't, so I guess there is a plus side to him being messy! 😜

Yeah, that was obi on his test day. He is definitely rocking the newf au natural look though I did spend some time grooming him when we got home. I brushed him out and trimmed the fur between his pads. For the first time ever I trimmed his legs a little bit and under his belly. I'm hoping it will be a little less messy in the spring slush and muck.
