Sam has been on the duralactin for a while. Lately I've been noticing her rear legs getting tangled. I've started her on Previcox again to see if that helps. She eats well, she can get up herself and squat to potty without falling. I hope the Previcox helps her. Anyone have any other ideas?

Keep a close watch on her heart. As they age, it can weaken, and the lack of blood flow can cause rear weakness. Hugs to Sam.

Echo is having to rest at least once going out and coming back in, after a walk of about 10 yards. She has a squeaky bark, and I suspect her heart is giving out, so that is something to consider.

I should have added that heart meds can help this. Lu was put on Enalipril over a year and a half ago, and it really helped her overall. Lasix was added as well, as her heart wasn't pumping strong enough to keep the fluid from building. I know she would not be here today without it.

Nina, has your vet mentioned Laryngeal Paralysis at all with Echo? My first clue that Chance had it was a change in his bark, his got raspy. He did also have heart problems and was on meds for them. He had rear end weakness also from the heart issues.

Nothing from here except a hug for Sam. So far MissM just has mobility issues because of her bad (awful) hips.

Susan can they have heart problems and not be coughing? I'm going to get her checked out at the vet. Too scary for me not to check into that.

Jeannie, Chance had heart problems and never coughed. He had atrial fibrillation and ventricular tachycardia. It probably would be a good idea to get her checked out, for her and your own peace of mind. I know how worried we get about our furkids. Hope everything is ok with Samantha.
