Rosie's Vigil Photo?

I don't know for certain, but I think I found a photo from the vigil. When I googled a few minutes ago, it says it was posted 17 minutes ago. There are Saints and Newfs and carts with flowers. I am in tears here.

I love that Saint owners came out to show their support too. Pretty amazing. Anyone heard how many people and dogs attended?

I just got back. There were about 50 people there and 30 + nefies (just a guess) and Saints. The most newfis I've seen at one time.

From what I saw of were the incident took place, there will be fall out.

...from what I heard and saw, I have to believe that the Officer will have to be found to have used excessive force....poor judgement...etc

I hope someone can furnish more details..Why on earth would anyone opt to 'shoot' this dog ? I read there were three officers shooting.....were they just terrified of dogs? or jumped at the chance to shoot something....so very very sad.....and after they had tazed her too ??the poor girl must have been terrified....!

Here is a comment from the woman whose house it happened at. I copied this from the justice for Rosie FB page.

I just read the police officers written statement and there are many discrepancies. Some of which are include that the report fails to mention the man standing in the yard. How did they miss that (?) they did talk to him as well. The report also says that Rosie didn't make a sound after the first shot, which is not true. There were 2 children and 2 adults that heard her, loudly.

They also state the yard was "partially fenced". The area in question is fenced off into at least 3 separate areas, then there is a fence that runs 8.5 acres from Pacific Highway to 16th Avenue, which is entirely fenced. If the officer missed the first fence he would have noticed the one on the other side of the property. Anyone living in this are including the police would know this! I can't speak for the other witness but I can say that he saw the witnessed the same events as I.

For all of you who cannot get KIRO news Seattle, Rosie's story was on just now. It was the top news item.
Newfs and their carts laden with flowers, the Newfs each had a garland of white flowers around their necks, there seemed to be so many flowers in the carts.
The reporter talked to some of the Newfs who were so quiet, almost like they knew what had happened.
Watching it was so moving.
In 1 1/2 hrs they are going back to talk to the lady who's yard it all happened in.
The Des Moines mayor was interviewed, he wants a non police investigation into this and is working on that.

Thank You so much for sharing that. This is the first I have heard about the news broadcast.
Also that is fantastic the mayor wants a NON police investigation
