I know that pumpkin can be used to help with constipation, but I thought I remembered reading that it can also be used to help stop diarrhea. Am I correct or has my little red choo choo gone chugging round the bend?

nope you have not gone around the bend yet, LOL that is a cute saying! morgan had some diahrea from the hot heat this summer, and the pumpkin helped her a lot.
just keep in mind, a lot and lot and lot of pumpkin over a period of time can stain the teeth ;)

Ted, If you are feeding raw and the pumpkin is one of their veggies, prob about 1/2 cup....If you are just supplementing (as I do) then yep, a nice tsblespoon scoop is what I give them.

Iz gets pumpkin every eveing with his dinner. He gets 2 tablespoons. When I don't give it to him - I can tell a big difference....

I take it Pumpkin should be given fresh and raw, or is the canned pumpkin(natural.not the sugar one) good?

In the summer I freeze it in ice cube trays. They get "pumpkin-cycles" for a treat and they love it...

Yes I supplement, nowhavefourbears like you, thanks.

Make sure the can says 100% Pumpkin NOT Pie Mix. We get a large Can of Libby's, which is more economical than the regular size cans.
