Pray for Harbour (non newf)

My friends dog Harbour had a tumor removed from his mouth and biopsied last week. Unfortunately, it came back as mandibular osteosarcoma. He's an amazing 11 year old border collie mix. Because of his age my friend doesn't want to put him though the surgery and the aftermath of having a chunk of his jaw removed. His plan is to treat him hollisticly and pray for a little more time with him. His follow up appointment with the vet was today and he got more bad news. There is already another tumor growing under his jaw. My Lucy is great but I'd have to say that Harbour is the best dog I've ever met. He was always welcome at my house and vacationed with me when his humans went away. I am so upset about it, almost as if he was my dog. Please pray for both Harbour and his humans. They've got a rough road ahead of them.

Sending prayers for sweet Harbour. I hope he has more quality days with his family. It's so sad when this happens :(

I'm so sorry. Prayers being sent.

Our Golden Murphy had a similar cancer. We put him on prednisone and he lived several months, pain free. He played, swam and even retrieved. The pred didn't cure it, but made him comfortable.

Hugs from here for Harbour and his family... and you as well as a dear friend! A miracle would be nice.. but barring that, I hope he is able to remain comfortable and happy for the rest of his days.

Aw.....I'm so sorry about your friend's dog Harbour. He sounds like a very special boy. It shouldn't surprise me at how these creatures get ahold of our hearts but it still always does. Enjoy him before he goes on his next journey.
