Last spring the neighbor replaced his fence between our yards. His friend who did the work brought his 9 week old border collie puppy over while he worked. The kids loved cuddling him and Suki loved having all the plays! She was so good with him. She knew to be gentle (though she did roll over on him once and he squealed and she got the hint). She is actually really good with smaller dogs and I am always impressed with how careful she is even when playing. I love when she lays down to play with them.

"Hey, I'm watchin' you!"
"Oh yeah? I'm watchin' you too!"

"Oh yes I am going to bite your butt!!!"

Not an entry, but I just thought it was so sweet, when they were wrestling.
"...I slayed the beast!!"

Last call!! I will select a winner later tonight - let's say by 9 pm EST. Which means you folks in Europe and Australia, etc, are already asleep. ;)

Keep 'em coming!

Just a late one for the memory books.. since my angels are both at the bridge. But they were so adorable ..... even though Murphy was petrified of Meagan the tyrant... my heart aches and I miss them dearly...

Drumroll please!!

As always, I loved them all. Puppies and kids ... what could be cuter in contrast with our big bears (or, in one case, a horse!). I knew this would be tough and it was.

After careful consideration I realized this contest was tied between 2 photos. So I asked my husband to pick. Unfortunately he picked the exact same two that I did, so I am going to make a very tough decision.

The tie was between Rowan and Mila (both looking pensive) and Sassy snuggled very...sassily....beneath Roger. Hubby and I discussed it at length and although I love love love the sweet look on Rowan's face, we decided that the shot of Roger and Sassy was a more unusual contrast in size.

So runner up is Yorkville Newfies with her two sweeties, and the winner is Jane with this photo. Jane, you're up!!

The look of pure glee on Sassy's face didn't hurt, either!

Thanks Teri! That pure glee on Sassy's face is because she knew she was safe hiding under Roger to take a break from her play pal Merlin who was about 1 at this time.

Great choice for the winner! The little white fluff ball under the giant black fluff ball is an awesome shot.

And what a fun choice for the challenge I loved looking at all the pictures!
