I am so sorry to hear about Murphy. A beloved friend's loss is never easy... grieve for your friend and please remember how hard you tried to turn the corner with his Lyme's disease... it is unfortunate the corner turned to be the Bridge.

It was only a mere 2 months ago I lost my Boozer dog - the pain is still very real, although I have learned to move on and not tear up at the mention of her name.

May you find comfort in the invisible arms of friends here on newf net. May you find comfort that your beloved Murph always had your best intentions, love and care. May you know that when your time is done on Earth, Murph will be waiting for you on the other side to welcome you back to him.

I'm sorry for your loss.. I, as well as others here, can relate to you. My big boy has been at rainbow bridge since 3.30.03.Just past 8 months.I take comfort in knowing that I did the best I could for him while he was here,and he will wait for me with my past pets and future pets to come.

Thank you all for your comforting words. We all really appreciate your kindness and know it's sincere as you all know the love of a Newf. I find it comforting to visit this site often and see the pictures. My friend told me about another site Petfinder.com where I've spent a lot of time looking at mixed breeds that are part Newf. It's funny to see some of the combinations but it's also heartbreaking to know that these poor animals are waiting for adoption. I'm definitely not ready to commit right now but maybe in the Spring our hearts will be healed enough to try again. With the holidays around the corner it's keeping us busy but it's still so hard without our big guy. My home is a lot cleaner without Murphy's "decorating accents" but I can't bring myself to get rid of the last of them.

I'm sorry I don't have a scanner to post his picture. He looked a lot like Cozy and Daisy on the home page, such a beautiful boy. Again, thanks for all your kind words and support. God Bless.

Good to hear from you! Thank you! I think of you, daily and looked for a post from you.

As for posting pictures, you don't need a scanner or digital camera.

Take his pictures/negatives to any store that has Kodak disc. They can put the pictures on the disk within an hour.

That is how I do mine. I don't know what kind of digital camera I want, so...I'll wait til I do.

I, as I feel sure everyone here, would LOVE to see his pictures.

I know what you mean about not being able to "discard" some of his things.

Keep in touch and do try to post his pictures.
