Well I just received bad news from my surgeon….She said it was too far to go after just having a shoulder replacement. I am not happy but I cannot afford to have a problem w the new shoulder.
I just to Chris at Windjammer and the one bedroom Room 102 is available to rent.
I hope you all have fun and we will see you next year.

Deb - So sorry to hear that you are unable to make it, with Thor now being 14 months, I was hoping for Dan to help teach me some grooming skills......

Can you just send Dan???? Ok just kidding, Hope you heal quickly and that you can get the doctor to change his mind.

So I was thinking.... I would love to somehow donate to rescue. I know there isn't a whole lot of us, but how's this.... We all bring something to donate to a basket (maybe like a $10.00 value) that I can make in the hotel. I will bring the basket and the wrapping etc. I will also make a bib and a collar for the basket.
Anyway, once the basket is all put together, we can get raffle tickets (prices to be determined later) and then whatever is put in the pot will be donated to a Newf rescue we feel fit. This is a MUCH smaller version of what Donna did for so long. It won't make much with such a small group but a couple of hundred is better than nothing!

Jess - Sounds like a great idea, we are happy to participate.

Awch...darn, darn, but I realize your doctor is right Deb. It's just a bummer though. On the bright side, you'll have a stronger shoulder for next year. Check back for posted pictures and we'll hope to see ya' next year.

I'd love to come!!! I'll go on the hotel's site, but if I don't book I 'll still come down. I've missed it the last few years and don't want to anymore.

Can we know your name and your pups? I'm terrible with people names and need repetition to get it to stick. I'm glad you're coming and you'll be so happy you made the time. It's nice and relaxing, just like a mini vacation. Plus, I see you don't have to travel far. Ask away if you have any questions.

Thats a great idea, Jess. And we can maybe brainstorm on ways to expand this once we're there. We need to be bigger than those Greyhounds in Dewey! :tongue:

I just called the Windjammer and they have 9 dog friendly rooms booked that are part of the Newf group however 11 rooms below. Please make sure your reservation is part of the Newf group so that you get the special rate! There is also only one dog friendly room left!!!
Please let me know if your dog's name is not on this list below!! I have a special surprise for them and wouldn't want them left off!

I am so sad to say that I messed up the dates & scheduled something the same weekend as the newf get together, and now we can't go. My kids are grumpy with me and I'm so disappointed. I know you guys will have a great time!!!! We'll be there in spirit & I will be a better planner next year!!!!
