NN Facebook Page

Some mentioned in another post that they did not know there was a NN page on Facebook to help members here find one another on Facebook.

Here is a link if anyone is interested-
http://www.facebook.com/groups/12793025348/?id=10150344022500349&notif_t=group_activity

At the top, there is a voluntary document that tells Facebook ID's and NN IDs so it would be easier to find those you chat with in both venues.

If you would like, feel free to add your name to the post. I will add it to the document so others can find you too!

Thanks :)

Thanks for the link, I didn't know there was a page for NN members. Glad to know.. or not since it will be one more thing to suck me in on the computer when I should be doing something else :)

I just sent a request to join (Amy Ryan). I think my FB pic is the same as the one here. I never knew about the FB page either. Thanks for posting this!

Cheese and crackers! The bickering and fighting in there...wow.
It has it's days.. but now it has calmed down. There has been a lot of wonderful history posts the last couple of days. I've been learning a lot.

Anywhere you go your gonna have folks who like to cause trouble and a ruckus at one point or another. It even happens here... threads locked... etc. Sometimes you just have to look at it for what it is.

I will try to update the names list in the next day or so with the new additions. :)

I find it a crying shame! All that stuff shoud be here on newf.net. It is a shame how Facebook has taken over or has its presence on everything thses days. The real sour puss type folks should just float away into cyber space.

Well...I agree that in a perfect world all the sour puss types would float away into cyber space, lol..but..it's not a perfect world. What I've found interesting is that in the unmoderated forums...their has been at least one battle that has been ongoing HERE for as far back as I can remember, and yet, in about 10 posts on an open forum...with NO interference..it ended, and the two parties have been co-existing very well ever since! It was something that I worried about when the open forums started, but it literally cleared the air between the two..everyone stood back and didn't comment, and they said what they needed to say and moved on. Do they like one another now? Probably not..but that's ok, as long as every time they are both on a thread it doesn't turn into innuendo and defensive behaviour that sidetracks the thread completely.

There is room for both formats. And people have a choice. Nobody is restricted to one or the other. The facebook page has been fascinating over the past few days, with tons of information...and one can never have "too many" resources.

Yep..if you want the information that's provided..you go where the information IS, and don't wait for it to come to you!! Doesn't mean you have to stay, or you have to read every post, but you take what you can use and what's important to you. The same way you do here! When I don't like the direction a thread is headed, I have the option of not reading it... It's pointless to sit and read it and then complain it was nasty. Some were nasty..no question..but...we don't have to read them.

Absolutely, you don't like it, don't read it. There's someone who continually annoys you, ignore them (it's one of your options) and don't EVER even see them. That's why I never understood complaining to admins. If you don't like it, get rid of it but let those people who do want to see the posts and/or opinions continue to do so. I have put people on the ignore list here whom I thought worked a little too hard at presenting a specific point on view, not because it was theirs but because they got attention from presenting that aura.
