I am proud and amazed to announce Panda and Samantha qualified for their TDD (team draft dog) titles at the SCNC draft test today. Their first try as a team!!!

Sam was awesome. She remembered to bring her brain with her today. I am so proud of her because this year she has earned her DD title at the Nationals and now 7 months later she got her TDD.

Of course Panda was her normal sweet obedient self. I couldn't have asked for any newf to work harder or better than she did.

I am on cloud 9.

I now have:

UCD Keepsake Precious Heirloom CD ASCA-CD DD TDD TDI CGC Delta-Dog "Samantha"

Panda CGC DD TDD TDI Delta-Dog "Panda"

Now let me tell you the real story.Panda might be sweet but she is lazy and I gaurantee you she was just along for the ride.Sam as usual had to do all the work while Panda got babied by mommy.Poor Sam could not hardly move last night.I had to give her some pizza to make up for some of it.Poor Sam!!!!!!!!! OKAY Gary! We know Sam is 'Daddy's little girl' but when their hitched together they BOTH work! ;) Panda did a great job as well as Sam, and they worked well with Jeannie, all deserving of their TDD.

Congratulations Again!

I want everyone to know that Panda is very stiff and sore today. I had to "extra baby" her all day. Sam on the other hand is as wild as ever!!

Russell said that during the freight haul Jeannie told the girls that if they did this, she would never ever make them do another thing again.
And, ask Jeannie about Sam's reaction to the intriguing distraction..... if it had been a bag of oreos...... ;)

Oh the intriguing distraction!?!?!?

Well Fellow newf netter and Draft test Chair--that conniving Susan Kirby--thought of the BEST intriguing distraction. She even had to involve her precious Lu.

She stood with Lu on a lead and called Lu to her all the while crumpling a bag of doggie treats!! To top it all off she was saying, "Cookie Lu, Biscuit Lu". Well if it had been oreos I would have been sunk for sure. I still don't know how Sam got past the pupperonis though. What newf does not know the sound of crumpling dog treat bags?? Sam can hear it in her sleep--especially the oreo cookie jar opening!!

I am still on cloud 9. WHOOO HOOO!!! Way to go Panda and Samantha!!

Panda "I wuv my mommy"
Samantha "The traitor--daddy's girl"

Yep I promised Panda I would never make her be hooked to a cart with Samantha again.

After the test was over, a few of us were standing around talking, and Jeannie was ribbing Susan about her props. Susan still had the bag with her, and repeated it. Sam zeroed in on the bag and was very intent on it! She is about as bad as Cora is about treats, and the fact that she stayed on course is wonderful....

Sam, you did good!!!!! (and Panda too)

Sam is intent on anything that even looks like food!!! I must have had an angel on my shoulder yesterday or maybe Sam just brought her brain along for a change. Or maybe she thought "If I am good I don't have to be hooked up with Panda anymore" Who knows????
