I just wanted to give a quick hello to everybody. My boyfriend and I finally got our newf a few weeks ago and he's now a healthy 12-week-old, 30 lbs. boy who loves to sleep in the bathtub and who doesn't understand that the water dish is not a small pool. We are first-time Newf owners, so I'm sure I'll have tons of questions. Thanks to Eileen and Sugarbear (we ran into them at the dog park) for letting me know about this site. I'm not sure how to upload a photo, but I'll try to figure out out. Have a wonderful day everybody!

Hi Nicole! It's great to have you here. You have found a great resource. I'm a first time newf owner too and the folks here have helped me SO much.

I always find the search function to be very helpful as most topics have been covered in one way or another (not that we mind revisiting them).

And, as I'm sure many others will tell you ...we LOVE pictures, especially of 12-week old pups sleeping in their water bowls!

His name is Byron and he's so great that Daniel and I started talking about getting another one already, haha. You all seem very nice and very informed, so I'm really glad to have such a great resource!

Yep...he looks completely maladjusted. He's gotta lay off the caffeine till he gets a bit older!
