We are picking up a new brother for Tink next week. He's a rescue and is about a year old - woo hoo, no potty training! I LOVE the name Javier but hubs is not going for it....anyone have any more ideas for this blonde handsome fella?

He is beautiful...congratulations!! Scuba's best bud, besides his brothers, is a golden named Cooper. :)

CAPTAIN!

And um, that eyebrow...look at the eyebrow. He'll be the death of you with that much cuteness. Love him already!

Oh how wonderful! He is gorgeous...I love the goldens!! I am partial to Irish names and did a search on the Web for Irish names. My last golden's name was Rogan...meaning red haired. Good luck. I'll be anxious to know what you pick.

How about Pan? to go along with Tinkerbear. Pan is the god of the wild, shepherds and flocks, nature, of mountain wilds, hunting.

BTW, what's his current name?

My husband the hockey fan says to name him Tuuka after the Boston Bruins goalie Tuuka Rask. :)

But I personally like the name Crosby..

Personally, I like the Tink and Tank thought, I'm sure it would confuse many and sometimes that's fun but he'd have to fit the bill :) Congrats on the new addition and I'm sure whatever name you choose it will be perfect.

These suggestions are great....I'll pass them along to the hubs. Tank is great, and Pan and Peter are hilarious....I have a feeling Hubs will like Captain, though there's no knowing for sure until he hears them.
Oh, sorry for the delayed response, he is currently going by Hunter, which I like but since he will be doing zero hunting a better name would be Hiker or Lounger, Walker, Wrestler, Tinker Toy.....hmmm, might be onto something there. Any other suggestions would also be appreciated as I am not the final say this time around.

Hunter is a pretty common name for Sporting breeds and even if you don't hunt, they do tend to be prey-driven. All I've had are "hunters". I also have a friend with a Golden named Tank. LOL

You could name him a human name like Hank...hahaha. Most of my dogs have or have had human names. Our male Goldens are Benny, Chandler, Amos, Ray...and we've had a Sullivan, Max, Duncan and Drexel.

My son's Golden's name is Larry. He's also a rescue and that was his name from the shelter. My son was going to change it but found that Larry liked his name, so left it. :)

LOL Actually ALL of our dogs have human names.

I had an Old English Sheepdog in the early 70's named Sebastian, two Keeshonds in the 80's and 90's named Inga and Fritz.

The Golden girls were named Sasha, Dierdre (DD), Lucy, Maggie, Haley, and we did have a Jamaica (we were on an Island theme...Lucy's name was St Lucia and Maggie's was Marigot Bay which is in St Lucia LOL)

The current Newfs are Mira, Molly, Cole, Frankie, as well as Addie May who is a rehome to us and came with her name...and Chance, who also kept his name. He's adopted from a rescue (Adopt A Golden Atlanta...wonderful place!).

The current other dogs are Cinnamon (a Chihuahua we inherited when my Dad died so we kept his name, but he's really the only one whose name is not specifically "human"), Ellie Mae (an Am Bulldog rescue), and Lucy (a Toller who came with the name...she's a rescue we adopted with Chance the Newf. They were adopted as a pair).

The cats, on the other hand have non-human names. Wouldn't want to insult them. Smidgen, Casey (well it's really KC for kitty cat), Sissy and Bro (sister and brother) and Scooter. All were feral kittens that appeared at our door in the dead of winter over the years.

Yeah...we've had and still have a lot of critters...and yes...sometimes I feel like doing this :tequila: but we love them all and do our best to give them wonderful lives.

Congrats on the new family member!! Cooper was the first name that popped in my head when I saw him, but I love the name Peter with your Tink.
