Oh, I like these!!!! Especially Amos, perhaps I will whisper them in his ear while he sleeps - :whistling:
LOL Actually ALL of our dogs have human names.
I had an Old English Sheepdog in the early 70's named Sebastian, two Keeshonds in the 80's and 90's named Inga and Fritz.
The Golden girls were named Sasha, Dierdre (DD), Lucy, Maggie, Haley, and we did have a Jamaica (we were on an Island theme...Lucy's name was St Lucia and Maggie's was Marigot Bay which is in St Lucia LOL)
The current Newfs are Mira, Molly, Cole, Frankie, as well as Addie May who is a rehome to us and came with her name...and Chance, who also kept his name. He's adopted from a rescue (Adopt A Golden Atlanta...wonderful place!).
The current other dogs are Cinnamon (a Chihuahua we inherited when my Dad died so we kept his name, but he's really the only one whose name is not specifically "human"), Ellie Mae (an Am Bulldog rescue), and Lucy (a Toller who came with the name...she's a rescue we adopted with Chance the Newf. They were adopted as a pair).
The cats, on the other hand have non-human names. Wouldn't want to insult them. Smidgen, Casey (well it's really KC for kitty cat), Sissy and Bro (sister and brother) and Scooter. All were feral kittens that appeared at our door in the dead of winter over the years.
Yeah...we've had and still have a lot of critters...and yes...sometimes I feel like doing this :tequila: but we love them all and do our best to give them wonderful lives.
