Well after our cat, lovingly referred to as 'last cat' by me, passed away in June of this year the pressure has been on for a replacement. So we now added two kittens to the family a couple of weeks ago, don't know how we went from 0 to 1 to 2?

Reggie (right) & Moose (left). The lady who brought them into the Cat Society had their mother Betty, who had been sprayed by a skunk, arrive at her door. The lady gave her a little food and the next day Betty brought back 7 kittens. The Cat Society went with an Archie comic theme for naming although we did not see a Jughead kitten.

They have become bolder over the past week cautiously skirting around Moby laying the kitchen. They are however making themselves at home.

And while the kittens were drinking from his dish our trusted guard was

catching up on his rest. :snore:

Hope to get a picture of all 3 together in the near future

That's so cute - and I love the Archie theme!!

One of our cats will only drink out of Elvis' water bowl. I can't explain it, but then again he is our "special" boy. When Elvis was on wet food after his tooth extraction we couldn't put his food down unless he was right there because the cat would dig right in.

I have a feeling they'll be buds in no time........or at least hang out in the same room together.

Adorable! I especially love your typo in which the skunk spayed the mother cat. Quite a talented skunk. Lol.

I did a similar thing this summer-my 17 yr old cat passed away so in early July I got two kittens for me and Cadie! It has worked out great, except one of the kittens decided to suckle Cadie! Trying to discourage that, and unless he does it in the middle of the night, I think he has stopped!

Very cute kittens! I, like you, refer to our cat Maeby as "our last cat". Naturally, our 2 year old son is obsessed with cats, and I have the distinct feeling that in a few years time, I'll go kicking and screaming into new kitten ownerhood
