Nixon doesn't quite look like the black boy Newf I had in mind for our next dog, but sometimes things happen for reasons we don't understand.
(And who am I to try to figure it out?)
Nixon turned 2 in Feb., and was owned by some people that my husband's aunt knows. They have 2 small kids, and Nixon wasn't getting the attention he deserved. So, when they decided they were willing to give him up, he arrived at our house.
He is a really sweet boy, and is happy happy happy! Total Golden. He and his Princess sister, Hope, are getting to know one another and will soon be best buds I'm sure. He's a little rough around the edges on training, but he's so lovable. I'm sure he'll catch on quickly. Hopefully his feathers come all the way back in soon. His previous owners had his feathers cut off because "He sheds too much" Oh bother!
