Won't hurt them to lick it...mine have...You don't use it every day. Read the instructions. If it is seperated when you get it, stir it up..(If you got the jar)
No I ordered what looks like a cream (like a tube of toothpaste). Can't wait to try it.

I used 1 part apple cider vinegar to 3 parts water several times a day. Dried out within 2-3 days.

TerryW...let us know how it works for you.....Try to dry the spot first if you can...I sometimes flush with peroxide first, then dry patting with a soft cloth if you can..
depending on how weepy it is...

smooch the tube back and forth before you open it to make sure it isn't seperated..remember to use a rubber glove if you have one...if not just wash your hands right away...it smells like sulphur as far as I can tell. I don't think it burns them at all....mine don't seem to mind it...other than the touching the spot in general.

Can you get it in Canada?? My poor Murph is battling 3 of the cursed things. One has scabbed up but there are 2 more. I am doing gold bond and listerine...

The Betagen is a spray. No mess no fuss, no drying or tampering with the wound. Has always cleared mine up within 24 hours.

Went to the vet today, and Bella's hot spot on her hip is HUGE. Way bigger then I thought, I feel so bad for her. Tucker tried licking if for her and she let him have it.. She is not very happy with me right now for letting the vet shave her fur. My poor baby.

For the rare hot spot that crops up we have a routine down that for us works like magic. First I trim hair away from the spot. While it is in the wet phase I sprinkle Neopredef powder on it. When it starts drying out I spray it with the Gentamicin spray. This heals them up super fast. You have to get prescriptions for both of these from your vet, but it's worth it.
