so true Teri, their loving souls are sent to us to teach us lessons in life when they have done that they must move on. I know Piggy is with Zeke, calming and loving all those children and others, just as we who have lost are supporting each other too. Piggyluv ala Gerik is probaly making those souls laugh and soothing them with his eyes. When ya look at it the way you have put it, and think how many have gone recently , I do believe there was a job for our luvs to do. Hugs E

Clipper passed away unexpectedly last week too. He was Anne's (pawsnhooves) beautiful landseer boy.
This has been an awful few weeks.

I am so saddened for everyone who has lost a beloved fur child in the last couple of weeks. I pray for all the families who are grieving.
If I have missed anyone's Rainbow Bridge thread, please forgive me... There are so many lately.....
Godspeed all the beautiful souls who have left us....

It is a little frightening, eerie, because it makes one think about what might be happening behind the scenes. One wonders if the need in heaven escalated or the troubles on earth are about to get more difficult. Some good ppl souls also lately have ascended.

All too conscious of how short time is, how precious every second of life. Even though I am not able to get thru the Rainbow threads I pray for each furbear and owner and family.

When a soul goes to heaven he has a birthday party there, and it is a great comfort to think of all the furkids playing in a beautiful cool breezy place filled with lush grass, flowers, trees, lakes, rivers, oceans, playmates, incredible colors and scents and fun and good work to do and one by one, reunited with the masters they love.

This brings me great comfort. Thank you. :hugs:

Just want to note that what I write is not religious beliefs or theoretical intellectualization but my actual experiences over 3 decades of 24/7 hospice work. Lots of facilities, hospitals, nursing homes, assisted living, home health and in-home care and especially my biz which was living in with a dying person and doing total care, sometimes years, sometimes days, intimately glued to the dying process, death and aftermath.

Leading up to physical transition out of the body can be difficult but the actual transition for those who have lived a good life is the ultimate graduation and joyous freedom and the rebirth in a far better place wondrous beyond any dream or imagination.

As hard as it is we must celebrate their lives they had with us. A life that was good and fun and full of love.Join me in the celebration. It dont take the grief away but those memories sure warm our hearts.Like Leska said they are having a party.......I wanna join in on that from here on earth.I will force a smile today in homor of all our angels

I am so sorry about all the Newfs; Godspeed them all.
I cried so hard over Troy; Gunny's sire.
Troy is the reason for me getting Gunny.

I am so sorry to read of all the losses lately. My thoughts and prayers are w/ all of you grieving. I still haven't gotten over Athena. She must be so happy to have so many Newfie friends at Rainbow Bridge.

Do not stand at my grave and weep,
I am not there, I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glint on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.

When you wake in the morning hush,
I am the swift, uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circling flight.
I am the soft starlight at night.

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there, I do not sleep.
Do not stand at my grave and cry.
I am not there, I did not die.

For those that have lost so many in the past weeks...Godspeed and until we meet at the Bridge....there is great need in Heaven, there are many souls that have left this plane in the last few months with the natural disasters here..

If I knew Piggyluv was needed to soothe a childs soul Id gladly let him do that...but Id sure like him back when his job was done.Guess we will never know..but Id like to believe his precious soul is comforting someone or some thing.

I'd like to think of it this way...........
With all the natural disasters of late, God needed some of our Gentle Giants to help calm the souls of all the scared little children who have lost their lives. Zeke was great at calming fears, and I bet the rest of your babies were good at it as well. I'm so lucky to of been able to spend time with Zeke. From the frist time we met, I knew he was special. God, had a plan.....................
I couldn't have said it better.

Not that it makes it any easier that any of them have left...but I sure do like to think that my pup is up there helping others out :)

I love Abbey's thoughts as well. There was none better at showing calm kindness than my Gloria, so I imagine this is true. A very comforting thought, and please know that when I say my prayers at night I pray for all your broken hearts.
