natural remedies for flea prevention

Does anybody have any recommendations for natural flea prevention. I use frontline with great success but would like to try a more natural alternative.

I use the Flea Free oil and I have very good luck with it! I dilute it in a spray bottle and spray it on the dogs and I also put a teaspoon of it in their shampoo. The oil is very light and not greasy at all and makes the coat smooth an shiny.

I use a spray bottle with half apple cidar vinegar and half water. I spray maybe twice a week. It really helps their coats and they have never had fleas. Check out earthlink.com for the many used of acv.

Besides al the info you have been given..........We have planted our garden with lots of herbs that reduce flea infestations. we have lots of mint, tansy, wormwood, geranium family, lavenders, rosemary and all sorts of plants that are used in flea control. Our dogs especially lie about in the Tansy a lot and they always seem to walk through the lavender. they smell great. Now we seriously do not have any fleas on our dogs. And my friends do have flea problems. I cannot help with ticks as we do not have ticks here
