Excuse my ignorance I have never seen such a close coated St B. We do get requests to shave them down here in summer - it can get up to 32 degrees. and if you dont have aircon they keep their undercoats.

They call him a smooth coat as opposed to the longer hair rough coat. One of the other NN folks, Shel, owns his cousin, Norm. He's also a smooth coat. With our two Newfs, I wanted a dog with a little less coat, however, his coat is thick and he is blowing it now so there is still a lot of hair flying!

What are some stats on Zeus? Height, weight? He is gi-normous. Very handsome. Not sure I would trust him with a 'real' Newf puppy from the way he is dog-handling that toy~!
