Moose makes a fantastic butler

Since he's always packing things around, I've decided to put this mutt to work! I asked him to pack this bulky sweater (the biggest thing I've asked him to carry) and he did proudly!

Now he's running around the house and picking up every tidbit of laundry he can find and bringing it to me. So every once in a while he'll sit by me and look at me with my husbands sock flopping out of his mouth. So proud of himself. Now I just need to train him to take it to the dirty laundry bin and drop it in... ;)

He's doing FANTASTIC on his pain meds. He looked like he was going to jump up yesterday, and I didn't stop him. I wanted to see what he would do. So he reared up and put his paws on top of my shoulders! And then he surprised me further by jumping into the car, no problem (I have a Honda Element and put him in the side door, and I usually have to boost his butt in). Now I'm telling him no jumping, but it's nice to see that he wants to. He's running around outside and playing and being a true 111 pound pup, as he should be.

In other news, after the rough week I decided I need pictures of our bear asap. A local photographer took pity on us, gave us a screaming deal (free photo upgrade of whatever package we buy so we can get more pictures of Moose) and is bringing his gear to do the shoot at my house. :) I'm excited to share them with you! Here's his site if you want to see the cuteness he's captured. http://www.adamopetphotos.com/Portfolio/Pets/13174374_NWAMx#!i=978971599&k=K8Hc3rb

I've seen that! It would be much more helpful. Today I've just been gifted three of my husbands dirty socks (which he kicks off all over the house). At least Moose doesn't eat them. He just wants to deliver them to me and show me how awesome he is. I secretly think he's trying to bribe me into giving him the leftover turkey breast from last night...

I'm going to try having him pack the mail home from the mailbox for me soon. We haven't been walking outside because it's bitter cold in Utah and the cold just doesn't do well for me or for his joints. People at Petsmart were laughing because I pass him toys to pack around while we walk and exercise in there. What can I say, these dogs LOVE having a job. Can't wait to see your newf!! You're soooo close to Gotcha Day!

So glad Moose is feeling better on his pain meds. He is such a smart boy! I was just telling a co-worker today that I have been teaching Emma the "give it and take it" commands so that when she grabs something she's not supposed to (which is a lot lately) she will give it up easily. Usually I give her a small training treat or milkbone when she gives on command. Well this morning I swear that dog was going around the house finding things to bring to me just so I would give her a treat! She brought me underwear and washcloths from my daughter's bathroom (she can never remember to close the door:grrr:) and then a shoe (once again my daughter's) and then she even brought me one of her chew bones! Now I'm not so sure who is training who...:roflmao:

Silly Moose, don't you know sweaters and socks and any other form of clothing is meant for munching, shredding, and running around the house with it so no one else can have it?

SO glad he's feeling better! He is so cute with that sweater in his mouth.

I know, he's so peculiar. He won't eat or hoard clothing, but he will gladly shred any tissue or paper towel he finds. It's his one bad habit and one I don't even mind, because he leaves everything else - even leftover food alone. Weirdo!

Yesterday was a day that he was lucky he's so. dang. cute. He got away from me in the Petsmart parking lot and I had to tackle him to the ground because he thought that running from me was a game...bruised both my knees. Then he ran from my mother when she was calling him, and jumped clear up on me and raked his paws down my chest. I told people he's lucky that I don't allow handicapped dogs on my sh*t list!
