Kirsten, I'm so very sorry. There a so many of our Newfs and non-Newfs waiting to guide him home. Rest well sweet Merrick.

I am deeply sorry for your loss. Although Merrick's life was short, I am sure he filled every moment with all the love his big heart could hold for you.

Oh Kirsten I was dreading and yet somehow knowing I was going to see this post. I am so sorry for you, your family and your boy.

Tonight I shall look up at the sky and when I see the brightest star I will know it's your Merrick still with you, still watching over you.

I am so very sorry. In my beliefs he is with you now and in the long someday you will be with him again. Merrick was so fortunate to be with you all. I will include him in my Monday night candle lighting prayers, and know, he is pain free, has perfect understanding, and is with our many angels at the Bridge. God bless you with comfort and peace in this.

I feel you pain and I am so sorry for your loss, Kirsten...........But no-one can take the memories away of your beautiful boy. You did a very heroic, unselfish thing letting him go :hugs: :hugs: Ronnie

Kirsten, my heart is breaking with you. I was dreading looking at NN today. Merrick was far too young to leave, but I have to believe that the young ones are just too special to stay too long. They have something to teach us and when they're done they must move on. Chelsea was my epi-newf who's story was similar to Merrick's that I was even more worried for you and him. Chelsea also got sick very quickly, and had some cloudiness/spots on her lungs. Cancer was mentioned and unfortunately she had to leave us at only 5 1/2 years old. I do believe that Chelsea and Merrick are together now, along with all our other furbabies and are watching over all of us. Many of us know your pain right now. We are all crying with you.

So sorry to see that Merrick has lost his young life....But you made the kindest, wisest decision for him under the circumstances.
