Meekas Hips

I called the vet and her appt. for Knees, Hips and Elbow X-rays is on Monday. So I will be dropping her off on Sunday night since I cannot get in there Monday morning with my work schedule. Thanks to everyone who PM'd me with well wishes and genuine concern. I truly appreciate it alot.

by chance are you feeding her greenies?
i am giving some to my crew and on the bag i noticed it said to substitute that for some food, if you give more than one a day, i cant afford to even give them daily!
but i thought people would want to know that, a kind of heads up, i would also say the same goes for bully sticks to!
esp the huge ones.

Also...I think there's a certain anesthetic that should be used...or something that SHOULDN'T be used.

Can anybody help here so that Whitney can discuss this with the vet before she takes Meeka in on Sunday??

Yes she gets Greenies when I have them. Sometimes 2 a day, in place of meals, sometimes more some times none. I really don't think it is greenies. We will see what the vet has to say. Thank you Christine.

I noticed with greenies if Eloise eats too many of them that she'll gain weight, and I think it's because they are very high in protein. So I guess it would be like giving very high protein food, just a thought.

It says that greenies are 52% protein. I found Eloise got fatter when she ate more than one greenie every few weeks, I'm with you though Christine, I can't afford them more than that, those things are insanely expensive! lol

i found the packs of eight with 25% more were cheaper than the fifty in a box individual wrapped, 2 cents a piece cheaper, save a few pennies that is cool!LOL
mine get them once a week or twice depending.

Not when you get them off of eBay!!! I got 50 jumbos for 32.00!!! But I am fresh out so it will be awhile before they get anymore. I bought those in December before I even got Meeka. LOL

Im giving one greenie and one bully stick per week...smaller one's for grace, larger for Lucky...does that seem appropriate to you with out major food adjustment?
