Maya's home from surgery

Maya came home this morning. She seems in good spirits, just sore. She was THRILLED to be home and to see me. The feeling was mutual- yesterday was a looongg day. I am so grateful that she is okay and home again. Surgery was successful and she should be able to run and play again in a few months time!

Awwww. Hugs to Maya and lots of healing thoughts. So glad she came out of it just fine. Now the hard part...keeping her from doing too much too soon, once she starts healing.

She had cruciate repair surgery on her knee. She had this same surgery on her other knee about three years ago and has healed wonderfully from that one. Then this year the left one went lame and I waited and waited hoping it would heal itself before I did the surgery. She was just getting worse and finally last week was refusing walks and just not herself. For some reason this poor girl is prone to these injuries.
