Mike and I have always had on our drivers licence to be donors. The night he passed away I got a phone call about 11:00 PM. We talked for 45 minutes to an hour, they were asking all kinds of health questions about him back to childhood.
He passed away September 12, and September 17 in Indianapolis his cornea's were used by two different people. They said they do that in case someone rejects them, hopefully the other will not. They also used his skin from his chest, and back for burn patients, breast cancer patients, and also some joints.
It brings some happiness to know he was able to help other people.
