Little Brag (naughty boy, good boy, naughty mom)

I was playing in the yard with the boys, off leash, no fence. This usually works just fine. They stay within our boundaries and play.

Ty heard some bird activity in the trees, and when the birds took flight, he just had to chase. He lost the birds, but continued looking, ran between the houses behind us and over to the next street. :nono: He stopped for a pee, and then darted left. I went after him, and Boaz was behind me. I told Boaz to stay and continued after Ty. Ty trotted down about 100 yards and then into the two acre lot with the electric fence. Suddenly, the four dogs living at that house emerged, and fortunately were very friendly. I was able to capture Ty by grabbing him at the base of the tail and then walk him home.

Here’s the brag. Boaz stayed right in the place I told him to the whole time! :groovy: We were gone at least 5 minutes (seemed like forever) and Boaz could not see us. I was fearful he would wander, but he just stayed in the same spot and waited.
We will go back to some basics, and Ty’s back on leash in the yard, but I’m shouting out ~Good Boy Boaz! ~ :dance01:

Wow that is an amazing "Stay!" for Boaz, good boy!

Over here we've learned to leave the birds alone except for a huge flock of enormous Canadian geese that squawk and flop flap just feet from Orka. He's gotten through them for an entire football field and back before succumbing to the temptation to charge. The good news is that this has made all the other birds look quite boring ;)

Just seeing this. That is amazing, really. Boaz really showed his stuff! And, so did Ty. :uglyhammer:

Working on obedience with Mac and Zoe and this is very inspiring for me to keep at it. They seem to be less obedient together but Boaz tells me we will get there.

Yes, we continue to have 'distraction' trouble when they are together. I think they compete with each other for rank, and they compete for me. Ty just turned two, and Boaz is 17 months, both intact Working with each of them separately inspires me because I know they can do it. We'll all get it together eventually. You will too! :)
